Be welcome at Eyngarn

I am a product of this time. I grew up in the ’80ies and ’90’s of the 20th century in the Netherlands, with seeing the first commercial television with MTV, Sky channel and SuperChannel. I watched Looney Tunes, The Muppetshow, The Knightrider, The D.J. kat Show, Star Trek but also Trans Formers. I have seen movies like Gremlins, Edward Scissorhands, Labyrinth and Star Wars. The comics I liked to read were comics like Marvel and later on Elfquest and Slaine. I did my training at Grafisch lyceum, but Art academy aswel. Together with my fascinations, like art(Jugendstil but also modern art like Pop-art, street-art/graffiti, typography, tattoos), erotica, mystics, expression, imagenatron (fantasy, horror and Science Fiction) it shaped me who I am now. It’s my goal to depict the world as how I experience it, how it is, could be or how I would like it to be? I experience this through philosophizing, (day)dreaming, imagining, desire or frustrations (and maybe deriving from that) my fears and pains. It’s my urge to capture this, and maybe communicate about this… What are your ideas?
